Thought this would be a good spot to talk about what our current "album of the year" is.
My current favorite album of 2016 is Damien Jurado's 'Visions of us on the Land'. He had my year end 'album of the year' in 2014, so I was really looking forward to his new one. (I don't know why) I kinda just thought he was going to make the same album twice, but I was wrong.
I felt like "Brothers and Sisters of the Eternal Son" was a studio masterpiece. Sonically I thought it was very well done. This new album is quiet, and a lot less "high fidelity", but the songs are still there. He is an amazing songwriter.
