My friend was telling me about the latest Numero group box set. This actually sounds pretty cool. They were pretty out there in those early days. I kind of forgot they were combining like Butthole Surfers and The Cramps through experimental metal. www.numerogroup.com/products/white-zombie-it-came-from-nyc

That looks really cool. I will probably pass on it, but it's a great looking box set.
I was really into the La Sexorcisto album. Drove 5 hours after work to see them play in Dayton, OH back in 1993. Monster Magnet opened up.
Then drove 5 hours back to work for my shift the next morning. I was young then and could do shit like that.

I was eyeballing this too. Mostly I'd just be happy to own Sexersisto and Astrocreep.

Wow, Monster Magnet, that just took me back. Never even came close to seeing them live. I think I actually heard of them because Beavis and Butthead played one of their videos every episode. They're seriously committed to a special kind of B-movie aesthetic that's all their own. Must have been pretty great live, especially then. This Numero Box looks so good it almost doesn't matter how much I was into them though, it's such a final completists version of this stuff that you almost have to have it on principle. I think there's something to doing it all the way like this that will make even casual fans want to pick it up to get everything all at once.
