Just wanted to chime in about the 33 1/3 book I'm reading about Chocolate and Cheese. So many great stories about Ween and recording this record, going from their crazy lo-fi 4 track stuff on previous records to finally building a studio in an industrial park in NJ and making their neighbors crazy. Best story so far is on tour they wrote "Spinal Meningitis (Got Me Down)" after drinking shroom tea and going back to their hotel, staying up all nihgt and looking at the cover of USA today that was delivered to the room which had a kid on the cover with the disease and trying to crack each other up with more and more absurd lyrics. I forget they ended up on a major label and Beavis and Butthead made fun of 'Push the lil daisies', I hated that song when I heard it out of context a million times around then.

I haven't read any of the 33 1/3 books. I do remember reading every Wikipedia article on every Pink Floyd album though.

Whoa I didn't even know about that Elliot Smith book, that's crazy.
My summer camp counselor told a whole cabin of 12 year olds that they should go home and rent a movie that will change their life called, 'The Wall'.

It's hilarious, and kind of a let down actually. He talked about it constantly - to the point it couldn't possibly live up to what he described. I got all my friends together when I got home and then was like 'what the fuck is this crap?!!!' we probably watched Gleaming the Cube for the 50th time if that gives you any idea of where my head was at.

Haha. The first time I saw it was my sophomore year. I was hanging out with some guy I was barely friends with, and the whole evening sucked.

And I'm honestly getting into 'Dark Side of the Moon' thanks Darren. News flash guys - it's weird and cool. I think I might even be able to listen to it sort of objectively and appreciate it completely aside from a bunch of jerks in high school. I was such a music snob, ugh.

How could it be good if EVERYONE likes it? The last two tracks choke me up every time. "Brain Damage" / "Eclipse"
