Hey was wondering if you got in on that DIIV record from captured tracks, I loved that first one and I'm kind of excited to hear what he's up to on this latest. Sprung for the deluxe version with weird vinyl and posters and crap.

Fat Elvis Records! Hey buddy. Hadn't even heard of that Luna set, that's crazy. And it's coming from Captured Tracks? Weird. Been a while since I heard those guys. When that Merge book came out I revisited them for a bit but they're still kind of a mystery to me. Is anyone else confused by the number of side labels Captured Tracks has? I have trouble finding things on their site half the time. Without your link Darren I don't see where it exists from the front page. I'm working a few blocks from their store in greenpoint and check in for weird limited stuff now and then - keep me in mind if I can ever look out for something. I've found discogs to be super helpful in their list of upcoming releases which I'm assuming is based on your collection? I've caught a few preorders for stuff just in time thanks to that. Darren - you use that vinyl collective board for new releases? Where else do you guys look? |

I thought Luna and Captured Tracks was a weird pairing too.

I didn't really know them until reading Temperature's Rising. Damn, that box looks pretty nice. I remember getting into that 'Penthouse' record not knowing anything about Galaxie 500.
Did anyone else pick up that Bedhead box set? I freaking love it - it's been next to the turntable for months now...

How does Animal Collective's latest strike anyone.....I heard them on NPR talking about recording vocals and alternating back and forth each syllable - like Arcade Fire they keep surprising me long after they should have peaked.
